A United Ireland?

With current uncertainties about the UK's future relationship with the European Union, Ireland's border question has returned to the fore.

Our most recent survey for RTE's Claire Byrne Live programme asked our panel if the want a United Ireland in the context of current Brexit negotiations.

A plurality of Irish people say 'yes', but not quite a majority. Indeed, support for a United Ireland is considerably stronger among younger people than older people, and is relatively weak in Dublin:
